Sierra Health Foundation publishes grant funding opportunities on this Web site and in the bimonthly Partnerships electronic newsletter. Sign up for Sierra Health's mailing list.
Nonprofit Event Sponsorship Requests
We accept requests from qualifying nonprofit organizations for event sponsorships that are compatible with the foundation's mission and programs. Submission due dates are Feb. 1, May 1, Aug. 1 and Nov. 1. Please send a letter, sponsorship options and any relevant materials. Funding decisions usually will be made within six weeks of each of these dates. Please be mindful of these dates when submitting your request. Sierra Health will not fund an event after it has taken place.

Responsive Grants Program
In 2010, grants up to $25,000 each will support projects and programs that improve health and quality of life in Northern California. Sierra Health has commited $1 million over two rounding rounds.
Capacity Building/Leadership Development for Minority-Led Organizations
In partnership with The California Endowment, Sierra Health Foundation awarded more than $76,000 to support organizational capacity building and leadership development activities for minority-led organizations serving in Sierra Health's 26-county funding region.
Grants Advisory Board for Youth (GABY)
In partnership with the Sacramento Region Community Foundation, Sierra Health provides funding for youth-planned and youth-led community service projects in the California Capital Region.
Health Leadership Program
This six-month leadership development course is for managers and executives of health-related nonprofit organizations and public agencies.
Conference and Convening Program
Sierra Health offers in-kind use of its conference center as a neutral meeting venue for education and training, nonpartisan debate, policy-making and collaboration. Nonprofit organizations, whose vision and goals are compatible with Sierra Health programs, are encouraged to apply for use of the facility. Requests for meeting space are accepted up to six months in advance.
Grizzly Creek Ranch Camp and Conference Center
With a mission of improving the health, independence and life skills of children through an organized camp experience, Grizzly Creek Ranch offers outdoor education programs in a fun, supportive environment. The camp also is available for conferences, corporate retreats and other events.
